Description
It seems like there is regression in RedReader v1.18.0 & v1.18.1 storage access permission request on Android 5.x (MIUI), because it asks to enable "Documents", BUT even enable it RedReader still asks for "enable "Documents"
There was no such issue in v1.17.3 and earlier releases.
Seems like related also to same issue in NewPipe:

Research direction
Reproduce the repeated “Documents” permission prompt on Android 5.x with MIUI, comparing RedReader v1.17.3 against v1.18.0 and v1.18.1. Trace the storage access permission request path and compare the related NewPipe issue and pull request; done means saving works without repeatedly requesting “Documents”.
