In continuation to the discussion we had here I think I found part of the problem.

Gfycat and I think Redgif videos don't stream and only play when the video is fully downloaded.

That video is 40 MB so its easier to see the effect.

I won't post any redgif links for obvious reasons but the following subreddit should be an easy place to test this since the videos are 4K so bigger size.
