App locale resetting to device locale randomly

Description
I have the Red Reader app locale set to English, which is not my system locale (French, if that matters).
After browsing for a while, the application language randomly changes to my system language. Changing account or restarting the app re-sets the language to English, so the application settings are unchanged.
I am unable to consistently reproduce this bug, but encounter it daily.

Research direction
