Description

RedReader recently added support for subreddit emotes - images inline with comment text. These are often not useful comments, and add extra clutter and distraction to the comment thread.

An option to toggle their display between the current behavior of showing the image versus displaying the image as a text link would be greatly appreciated.

Research direction

Start by locating the code that renders subreddit emotes in comments and the existing preference or settings handling in the Android app. Add a user-controlled display choice so emotes can remain inline images or appear as text links, then verify both modes in comment threads.
