Description

Using RedReader on a typical ChromeOS device (call it a laptop running Android 8-) ) is a bit hard without a mouse. Things would be easier if certain keys were always mapped to the same action (e. g. ESC always meaning "close viewer" or "one level back/up") to easily close viewers.

Additionally mapping mouse events (which are not really user controlled unless you have a mouse that can be configured to assign return values to buttons) like "back" would be great, too. It would help mouse/trackpad users.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the existing keyboard handling and viewer navigation, then determine where mouse and trackpad events enter the Android app. Done means consistent shortcuts such as ESC for closing or moving back, plus useful mouse actions for mouse and trackpad users.
