Description

A lot of code in yutils and ypywidgets was copied from ypy-websocket.
Actually, a lot of code in ypy-websocket is not WebSocket-specific. We should extract out some code in a network-agnostic library.

Research direction

Start by comparing ypywidgets/yutils.py and ypywidgets/ypywidgets.py, especially the lines linked in the issue, with the copied code in ypy-websocket. Identify which parts are not WebSocket-specific and determine the extraction boundary for a network-agnostic library. Done means the duplicated shared code has been factored out without changing the widget behavior.
