Description
Hi,
Here are some suggestions to improve user experience
- Make options shorter. I understand Click does not support autocomplete, and it is a pain to enter these long options/arguments in powershell/cmd.exe. But click can have options like “-i”, “--input-file” or “-r”, “--report-file”, etc
- Move the CloudShell credentials/configuration to a static configuration, so user does not have to the file name each time
- Provide an option for enabling SNMP on devices. Currently the tool assumes SNMP is configured on all devices and ready to go.
- User should be able to provide resource name as an option in the input file. I understand this is possible in some options (run-from-report??). Many users have the device's host name different than the naming convention in CloudShell
- For physical connections, looks like some mandatory information requested is unnecessary (domain name, resource name)
- Try to restrict the input file type to just one type. Currently the tool uses yml, excel and/or json. Specifically, at least use CSV instead of excel, if all the inputs cannot be managed by CSV.

Sadanand
