Description

My feature request is related to a special use-case: I often have to compare or view side-by-side files located in different folders. Mostly pdf & image files. And I have to use simultaneously other softwares by switching back and forth between the quickLooked files & the other softwares (e.g.: word).
The "Prevent Closing" pinning is useful, but needs a major update.

The suggested solution should work like this:

  1. At the top of the quickLook window, right beside the "Prevent Closing" pinning, there should be another icon, called "Send to Comparison window".
  2. These Comparison windows should be saveable, be shown on taskbar & the contents should be manually/automatically arrangeable. Probably a limit of the compared items should be neccessary.
  3. I could provide additional details & further feature requests, if someone sees this suggestion reasonable.

It's a completely new feature, I cannot see any real alternatives to considered.

Additional context
The quickLook is an exteremely useful app in win10! I cannot mention any other solution as useful like this.
With this development, it would be one of the most effective element of my daily routine.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the existing QuickLook window and its “Prevent Closing” pinning behavior. Then trace how windows are represented on the taskbar and determine the scope of comparison-window saving and arrangement. Done should be defined as a decided comparison-window design with limits, persistence, taskbar behavior, and arrangement requirements.
