Description
In the Select File dialog, the thumbnail preview images do not consistently match the displayed filenames.
In some cases, the preview appears to be from a different file than the one listed. This creates confusion and increases the risk of selecting the wrong file.
For example:
The same filename appears twice but shows different thumbnails.
A mask file and its corresponding image file appear visually swapped.
Expected behavior:
Each filename should display the correct thumbnail generated from that exact file.
This may indicate an issue with thumbnail caching or file-to-preview mapping.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the mismatch in the Select File dialog and tracing how displayed filenames are paired with generated thumbnail previews. Check whether caching or file-to-preview mapping causes duplicate filenames, masks, or image files to receive the wrong thumbnail; done means every filename consistently shows the preview generated from that exact file.
