Description

Context

As an Irish-registered company collecting attendee data (registrations, emails), PyCon Ireland is subject to GDPR. The site currently has no Privacy Policy page.

Task

  • Check what EuroPython 2026 and similar PyCon EU events publish for their GDPR/Privacy Policy page
  • Draft a Privacy Policy covering: data collected, purpose, retention, third-party processors (Tito, Sessionize, Netlify, etc.), contact for data requests
  • Add a /privacy/ page to the site
  • Add a small link in the footer

Research direction

Review the EuroPython 2026 privacy/legal section and similar PyCon EU policies first. Identify the site’s page and footer entry points, then draft /privacy/ covering collected data, purposes, retention, processors, and data-request contact. Done means the page is published and linked from the footer.
