Description

By creating and drawing on a newly created Transmission Cost Database from 74 World Bank Group–
financed projects (2000–2024) totaling US$ 21 billion, the analysis fills a critical gap in
providing transparent, systematic cost data, that can guide economic analysis of
transmission investments, power systems planning, and climate finance analytics to inform
new grid investments to advance energy access and energy system decarbonization.
