Describe the Bug

As of today, April 9, 2025, DEA technology_datasheet_for_energy_storage version 9 contains an error in the FOM values for pit thermal energy storages. In version 9, the FOM is increased by a factor of 1,000 compared to version 8. However, the tech brief (https://ens.dk/media/6445/download) that outlines the changes from version 8 to 9 clearly indicates that the FOM should decrease by 19%. As a workaround, I manually adjusted the FOM in the compile_cost_assumptions.py to the correct unit (€/MWhCapacity/year).

Research direction

Compare the version 9 and version 8 pit thermal storage FOM entries in compile_cost_assumptions.py with the linked DEA datasheets and technology brief. Verify the expected unit and 19% decrease, then confirm the compiled catalogue uses the corrected €/MWhCapacity/year value.
