Description

Feature Request

With the uncertainty around if data sources from NREL and EIA are going to remain open, its critical a backup of data is done. Catalyst has done some heavy lifting here (even for data not included in their nightly builds), but other data sources we need to do.

Suggested Solution

Off the top of my head, I believe the data that should be backed up is:

  • ResStock
  • ComStock
  • Natural gas production capacity
  • Natural gas storage capacity
  • Natural gas state level imports/exports
  • Natural gas international level imports/exports
  • RECS (Catalyst may have done this)
  • CECS (Catalyst may have done this)
  • MECS (Catalyst may have done this)
  • EIA AEO demand projections for all sectors
  • All cases for EFS (Catalyst may have done this)
Additional Info

I dont think integrating this data is critical, but having the backups in case the data goes online is needed
