Description

Currently the clustering is performed according to the electricity demand and conventional generation of the simplified network's buses. Providing the option to create a clustering according to the demand and supply of other energy carriers could facilitate studies focusing on energy transmission between regions, which are mainly characterized by their role as a consumer/supplier of these other respective carriers (e.g. industrial regions with high H2 demand & H2 import hubs on the supply side).

Research direction

The issue does not identify files, tests, or an entry point, so first trace where simplified-network bus clustering is implemented and how electricity demand and conventional generation are selected. Done means providing a configurable clustering basis for demand and supply from other energy carriers, including the stated H2 consumer and import-hub use case.
