Description

Very slow on HPC - almost certainly mixture of env caching and read/writes.

  • grouping years could avoid this.

  • group base year /installed capacities

  • group remind capacities

  • group costs (less human readable)

  • group make summaries output

  • build load profiles

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by tracing the model's year-based capacity, cost, summary, and load-profile reads and writes, then measure the current HPC workflow; done means the listed data is grouped appropriately and the file-operation bottleneck is reduced without changing model outputs.
