Look at the hardware
I tink this might run most of Krake firmware
Most Missing is the five LEDs
The MUTE could be on screen.
The rotary encoder could be obsoleted with a touch interface.
External five LEDS (or more) could be implemented on an I2C bus if we were to design a PWA.
Same for a DB9 COM port, and external PWA.
Same for a phyical Mute button.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the existing Krake firmware and comparing its supported hardware with the device in the linked AliExpress listing and image. Then assess the proposed LEDs, screen mute control, touch interface, I2C bus, DB9 port, and physical mute button. The issue does not define acceptance criteria, so completion is not yet clear.
