Description

Information

  • Language: PHP
  • Plugins: none

Description
Highlighting seems completely broken (does not highlight) when there's a <?php tag and a heredoc with a ' character. Highlighting will work correctly if you remove the <?php tag or if you remove the ' character from the heredoc.

Code snippet

Test page

The code being highlighted incorrectly.
#!/usr/bin/env php
<?php

$heredoc = <<<END
A string with a single quote '
END;

$foo = 'bar';

Research direction

Start with the linked Prism test page and reproduce the supplied PHP snippet containing the opening tag, heredoc, and single quote. Compare the highlighting with the tag or quote removed, then verify the complete snippet highlights correctly without regressing the working cases.
