Description

Summary of the new feature / enhancement

Hey there,

I'm the developer behind HPN-SSH (https://psc.edu/hpn-ssh-home and https://github.com/rapier1/openssh-portable) and I was wondering if your team is a) aware of hpn-ssh and b) if you've given any consideration to including it?

So one of the main things that HPN-SSH does is normalize the internal ssh receive buffer to the current tcp receive buffer. That's been shown to improve throughput on LFNs by upwards of 2 orders of magnitude given a high enough RTT.

If you are curious or interested please let me know as I'd love to talk to you about.

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reviewing the HPN-SSH proposal and its claimed TCP receive-buffer behavior; the work is complete only when inclusion scope and acceptance criteria are defined.
