Research direction

Start with the stack trace at CalculateWhereAndWhat and follow the rendering path through ReallyRender, ForceRender, and InteractiveHistorySearch. Try to reproduce the out-of-range cursor position using the reported Windows Terminal, buffer dimensions, and history-search sequence. Done means the reported interaction no longer raises an ArgumentOutOfRangeException.
