Description

Summary of the new feature / enhancement

Some users have a need to leverage PSDSCv2 while the current Windows PowerShell adapter explicitly only uses v1 since it's inbox. Need a way to detect that PSDSCv2 is installed and have it as a separate adapter for PowerShell 7.

Research direction

Start by inspecting the existing Windows PowerShell adapter and how adapters are discovered or selected; the issue provides no file or test names. Define how installed PSDSCv2 is detected and how a separate PowerShell 7 adapter is exposed, then add coverage showing the correct adapter is selected when PSDSCv2 is available.
