Description

Currently we do a somewhat unintuitive calculation of dividing the 90sig by the REFsig. Instead, what if we varied the IR led intensity s.t. REFsig is constant?

Research direction

The issue mentions the existing 90sig/REFsig calculation and varying IR LED intensity, but names no files, tests, or entry points. First locate those signal calculations and the LED-control path in the Python Raspberry Pi project. Done means the desired control behavior is agreed and verified to keep REFsig constant without regressions.
