- I have read the FAQ section, searched the open issues, and still think this is a new bug.
Describe the bug you encountered:
We have 3 phones from Samsung.
A S24 Ultra, S25 Ultra and a S26 Ultra.
Each phone is running with OneUI 8.5 and Android 16.
With the S24U and S25U the biometry works perfectly.
With the S26U it fails initialising. The error shown is following in the screenshot.
A second thing. On the S26 U the red error bar at the top seems only partially visible.

Research direction
Reproduce the biometric initialization failure on a Samsung S26 Ultra running OneUI 8.5 and Android 16, then compare it with the working S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra setups. Start with the error shown in the attached screenshot and also check why the red error bar is only partially visible; done means biometric initialization and the error display work correctly on the S26 Ultra.
