Description
Checks
- I have read the FAQ section, searched the open issues, and still think this is a new bug.
Describe the bug you encountered:
Hi all,
I moved from my old smartphone to a samsung s22 and installed keeppass2android and I have a bug when trying to use biometrics authentication.
I've seen this bug already sometimes in the issues list, but de-activating and re-activating biometrics in the parameters didn't work for me. To be very precise, I deactivated it on my old phone, and tried to reactivate it on my new one, but I still have the error (java.lang.runtimeexception:.....)
NB: I tried to activate biometrics on another DB I created for testing purpose (meaning biometrics was never activated for it), and it does not work as well.
NB2: I use face recognition and not fingerprints
What version of Keepass2Android are you using?
1.09e-r7
Which version of Android are you on?
13

Research direction
No source files or tests are identified in the report. First reproduce biometric activation on a Samsung S22 running Android 13 with face recognition, using Keepass2Android 1.09e-r7, and compare behavior for an existing database and a new database; done means activation succeeds without the reported runtime exception.
