What is the value from the calculation in-game?
In game changing the number of projectiles fired by Kinetic Fusillade doesn't appear to change the trigger rate of the socketed gems.
What is the value from the calculation in Path of Building?
In POB the effective source rate multiplies the attack speed by the number of projectiles. If the source rate is lower than the trigger rate cap, adding more projectiles should increase the trigger rate. This doesn't seem to be the case in game (although it was hard for me to test conclusively).
Only Kinetic Fusillade shows this behavior. Other wand skills like Kinetic Bolt behave as expected in POB. I suspect Kinetic Fusillade is using the calculation for Spellslinger, which does care about the number of projectiles.
How to reproduce the issue
- In the Calcs tab, select Summon Raging Spirit
- Click on the effective trigger rate value (should be 17.6)
- See that the tooltip indicates the attack rate is multiplied by the number of projectiles
