The problem is a minor annoyance, when the character import feature is used after it fetches the list of characters from my account it always defaults to my old hardcore character.

Describe the solution you'd like

When I'm importing my characters I'd like it to remember my previously selected league or character and default to selecting that one. Or alternatively default to the current league. Remembering my previous league selection would function better as that would be an added QoL feature for everyone.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I've considered using PoB the way it it currently and griping under my breath each time I try and update my current build in PoB

Nothing to add here, I just feel like it would be a nice QoL feature for PoB.

Start at the character import flow described in the issue and trace where the fetched character list and league selection are initialized. Done means a subsequent import defaults to the previously selected league or character, with the behavior verified in the import UI.
