Description

After talking to some official Velocity developers about how I could override a kick message, we came to the conclusion that there is no way to do this through the API yet.

Example: https://jd.papermc.io/paper/1.19/org/bukkit/event/player/AsyncPlayerPreLoginEvent.html#kickMessage()

Research direction

Start by reviewing the DisconnectEvent and KickedFromServerEvent APIs and the existing event handling around kick messages. Determine the intended API shape and document what behavior should be supported; done means callers can override the kick message through the relevant event API.
