Description

I noticed that Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. Part of the borders are those of Morocco, and parts are tagged as disputed but under their de facto control.

OSM consumers can certainly approach this somewhat differently, but I've never seen it excluded from a dataset outright, except when expressing an explicit political perspective (the Overture data doesn't seem to include any perspective data though).

Research direction

Start by investigating how division boundaries data is assembled and where Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic is filtered or omitted. The issue provides no file, test, or entry point; done would mean deciding and documenting how this territory should appear in the dataset, then verifying that the resulting boundaries data includes it.
