Description

The default-http-backend is a required part of the ingress controller for successful function, so it's reasonable to colocate them.

A PR that moves the kubernetes/default-http-backend directory manifests into the nginx-ingress-controller directory and wires them into Kustomize would be most welcome.

Research direction

Inspect the kubernetes/default-http-backend and nginx-ingress-controller directories first, then review how Kustomize is configured for the ingress controller. Done means the default-http-backend manifests are moved into the nginx-ingress-controller directory and included through Kustomize without losing the required controller functionality.
