OpenPanel + AI Plugins (configure myriad providers)

First, thanks for this tool. We have recently deployed it internally and all things considered this was a pretty easy standup process.

Now that we're pulling in production data, we'd like to start doing some analysis using agents, however I've been starting to move cli / key tool use off of anthropic / openAI direct keys in favor of things like OpenRouter so we can select various models for differing costs. We do a lot of targeted data analysis and i have control scenarios where i run Anthropic, OpenRouter, local AI hardware etc. I'm curious if it's possible to either write a plugin such that we could plugin other things than Anthropic keys and instead route to like OpenRouter or our local in network AI devices.

I'm more than happy to do the work / partner on the work, but I'm unclear on whether the system supports the ability to plug in.

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by tracing how Anthropic and OpenAI keys and agent providers are configured, then inspect whether an existing plugin boundary supports external providers. Done would require a defined approach for configuring providers such as OpenRouter and local AI devices, with documented behavior and validation.
