Description
DESCRIPTION
Whenever I run OpenRA with any mod (but I mostly play Red Alert), doesn't matter what I do, whether it be the menu screen (animations disabled, vsync disabled, frame limiter set to 60), server chat screen, map editor, the game will cause my GPU usage to be between 50-60%. There are literally just static images being displayed. And, yes my system is 5 years old. Macbook pro with M370x discrete GPU. However, other games don't do this on this very system. It's as if there's no dynamic usage of GPU whatsoever. The game uses as much resources as it thinks it'll need for worst case scenario without regard to what is actually happening on screen. And it's been like this for a while.
I don't understand how this is acceptable in any way and nothing's been done about it for months if not years. It never used to be like this.
Reproduction
-Run the game, happens every time.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Reproduce the issue by running OpenRA on the described MacBook Pro and compare GPU usage across the menu, chat, and map editor; done means identifying the cause and confirming that idle screens no longer sustain the reported usage.
