Description
The contrast of the current yellow colour against most maps (depending on what your looking at) isn't great and it would be a lot easier if one could choose the colour of announcements.
Also, the contrast of the spectator information UI makes the text absolutely unreadable at times. The information could do with a bit of a choice of "zoom"/scale too - it would be cool to see graphs in 2x or 4x detail. Hiding the spectator UI would be cool so that you spectators could watch all of the action.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the announcement-colour and spectator-information UI entry points, then separate the contrast, scaling, colour-choice, and hiding requests into scoped changes. Done would require an agreed subset and verification that the affected UI remains readable during play.
