Description

Installed cups (Debian 12 (no GUI)).
Figured out that I had to

$ usermod -a -G lpadmin username

in order to get into the web page.

Added my HP DeskJet D1560 using driver HP DeskJet Series (color).

Tried to print to it using

$ lp -p HP_DJ test.pdf

The website shows a completed print job but nothing happened.

What's going on?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the lp -p HP_DJ test.pdf command on Debian 12 and compare its completed status with the printer's actual behavior in the CUPS web page. Investigate the HP DeskJet D1560 setup using the selected HP DeskJet Series (color) driver, then identify why the job completes without printing and confirm the result with a successful test print.
