Description

Some fixtures use HSV/HSB/HSI/HSL as an alternative to RGB color mixing. We should therefore:

  • Understand (and maybe shortly document?) all different color mixing methods
  • Add new capability types for Hue, Saturation, ... → #4927
  • Add fixture features for RGB, CMY and HSV/HSB/HSI/HSL color mixings

Wait until #425 is merged first. See also #437.

Research direction

Review issue #425 first, as this work is explicitly blocked on it, then read related issues #437 and #4927. Done means the project understands the listed color-mixing methods, has the required Hue and Saturation capability types, and includes fixture features covering RGB, CMY, and HSV/HSB/HSI/HSL mixing.
