Description

QLab is a fee required lighting software for Mac. However, the fixtures (Light Library) are saved as JSON files and can be downloaded in the free software bundle.

The fixtures look pretty simple, so we can easily reverse-engineer them and then have to wait for someone who has a Mac and QLab to test our exported fixtures.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the QLab Light Library documentation and the downloadable software bundle to identify the JSON fixture structure and export requirements. Compare available fixture examples, then define the expected output and validation approach; the work is done when exported fixtures are accepted by QLab and verified with access to the required Mac software.
