Description

Support for 3d models of the fixtures would be nice.

The choice of format would be interesting. Especially when we want to identify the moving parts of a fixture for previews.
Haven't really looked into it yet, but maybe some data can be imported from GDTF?

Research direction

Start by investigating how fixture definitions currently represent previews and whether GDTF provides usable data for fixture geometry and moving parts. Compare suitable 3D model formats and define how models would be associated with fixtures and used in previews; the work is done when the format and integration scope are agreed.
