Description
Problem
Not really a problem, more of a desired feature.
Solution
AI upscaling for low resolution video
Alternative
N/A
Anything else?
Was thinking it might be a useful feature to integrate. It's something I find myself using often.
I don't know about license compatibility, but from a quick DDG search assist summery I got the following.
Yes, MIT licensed code can include AGPL v3 code, but the combined work must comply with the
AGPL v3 requirements, meaning it will be treated as AGPL v3 for distribution purposes. This is
because AGPL v3 has stricter conditions that apply to the entire combined work.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the Video2X project linked in the issue and OpenCut's existing video-processing entry points. Clarify whether and how AI upscaling should be integrated, including MIT/AGPLv3 license compatibility. Done means an agreed implementation scope and a working upscaling feature for low-resolution video.
