Description

Problem

A button is needed in the media panel to preview and play video and audio files without adding them to the timeline. User-uploaded media files cannot be previewed. To play a video or audio file, they must add it to the timeline.

Research direction

The issue points to the media panel, timeline flow, and Audio playback behavior; begin by tracing how uploaded media is currently added to the timeline. Done means video and audio can be previewed from the media panel, audio plays there, and previewing does not add either item to the timeline.
