Description
Change request are not always 100% relevant or correct . It would be nice to be able to select the fields to accept or reject.
Use the Import XML/JSON as an example. There, you can select or deselect fields to import. There is an overview of 'Current Value' and 'New Value' (current metadata and the imported metadata) when you confirm/import the changes.

Research direction
Start with the existing Import XML/JSON flow, especially its field selection and Current Value/New Value overview. Trace how change requests are currently approved or rejected and identify the entry points needed for selecting individual fields. Done means users can accept or reject selected fields while reviewing the resulting values.
