Description
cibuildwheel now supports pyodide_wasm32 wheels - it would be good to make sure we support this properly - I managed to get it work by doing:
targets: |
- cp*-pyodide_wasm32
env: |
CIBW_PLATFORM: pyodide
but would be good if the platform could get set automatically.

Research direction
Start by tracing the reusable workflow configuration that handles cibuildwheel targets and the CIBW_PLATFORM environment setting. Compare the documented pyodide_wasm32 target and pyodide platform workaround with the workflow's current platform handling. Done means pyodide wheels are recognized and the platform is selected automatically without the shown environment override.
