Description
Extend capabilities of ayon plugin to support versioning.
Theres a versioning jupyter notebook on mediacreation, it would be cool if we could take that, duplicate it into the ayon repo, and update it to use the updated ayon plugin in the same way. (https://github.com/OpenAssetIO/OpenAssetIO-MediaCreation/blob/main/examples/querying_entity_versions.ipynb)
Acceptance criteria
- Collab with ayon, confirm approach, make sure things are great.
- Ayon plugin is extended with versioning capabilities
- Add ayon versioning notebook. (Optionally commit it back up to the ynput ayon repo, or in our integrations)
- PR is made upstream against the openassetio/ayon plugin.

Research direction
Start with examples/querying_entity_versions.ipynb in OpenAssetIO-MediaCreation and compare it with the updated AYON plugin. Confirm the versioning approach with AYON, then extend the plugin and add an AYON versioning notebook. Done means the acceptance criteria are met and an upstream PR is opened against the openassetio/ayon plugin.
