Description
I decided to try this sbt plugin out. I wanted to generate a java client, so I set the generator to java. I created my project/plugins.sbt and my build.sbt, but some configuration in, then ran it.... and it overwrote my build.sbt file, undoing all the work I'd just done to configure it! How is that even a feature?

Research direction
Reproduce the issue with an existing project/plugins.sbt and build.sbt, then trace the generator entry point that handles build.sbt. The change is done when running the generator preserves existing build.sbt configuration; add or update a regression test if the repository has coverage for this behavior.
