Research direction

The issue names ASP.NET Core Swagger documentation but provides no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the ASP.NET Core Swagger setup and existing middleware, then determine how an optional basic-auth layer should be configured; done means Swagger can be protected without requiring authentication when the option is disabled.
