<generatorName>java</generatorName>
<library>apache-httpclient</library> or <library>resttemplate</library>
OpenAPI:
type: object
properties:
__type:
type: string
default: myType
Generated Java Code:
public static final String JSON_PROPERTY_TYPE = "__type";
private JsonNullable<Object> type = JsonNullable.<Object>of(myType);
As you can see the defautl value is plain Java and no Java String (missing quotes) which is invalid code ("cannot find symbol").

Affects all versions (tested 6.6 to latest 7.4).
