Description

(kind of spin-off from #153)
BatchJobMetadata has some redundant fields: old style "memory_time_megabyte", "cpu_time", "duration" and more generic "usage" .
It would clear up some confusion to replace the former in favor of the latter.

Research direction

Start by locating BatchJobMetadata and all references to the legacy memory_time_megabyte, cpu_time, duration, and generic usage fields. Trace how these fields are produced and consumed, then verify that the legacy fields have been replaced consistently without breaking the metadata contract.
