Description
Reasons for why I think this is the case:
GitHub.copilotwas not updated in the marketplace since 2025-10-24- while
GitHub.copilot-chatseems to be actively maintained in the marketplace GitHub.copilotis sufficient to get all Copilot features working in VSCodium (so I assume VSCode as well)

Search nixpkgs for the vscode-extensions.github.copilot package and inspect how the related vscode-extensions.github.copilot-chat package is defined. Verify the marketplace status and whether the existing package should be replaced or marked deprecated; done means the package metadata and available extension match the current upstream naming.
