Description
Hi,
(in this issue I am speaking with the tetaneutral.net hat)
Since January 2025, tetaneutral.net has been hosting 4 builders for ofborg, but somehow the billing was not set up (very sorry about the procrastination amount here).
The machines have been sponsored by @liberodark, and I sponsored some additional RAM (4x128G for 540€).
I'm opening this issue mostly about the electricity bill. We measured a mean consumption of ~85W/builder, and here electricity is 0.256€/kWh. We also need to consider 5€/month/IPv4, so the costs are around 0.085 * 0.256 * 24 * 365 + 5 * 12 = 250€/year/builder.
Can the foundation cover this ?
If so, here are additional technical details:
tetaneutral.net is french non-profit "association loi 1901", so we can emit invoices.
We use open pricing, and we suggest 20€/year for the membership. And here I'll suggest 1000€/year for the 4 builders.
But tetaneutral.net can only offer services to its members, so the foundation would have to agree on the taking a membership (I don't think this has any practical impact beside having to say "yes" and having to decide the membership fee - and also receiving a yearly invitation to the general assembly).
And if not, well, we should find a another way to shoulder that, because tetaneutral.net can not handle this kind of amount :/
