Description

It would return a boolean indicating if two links cross each other.

Mostly useful for custom layouts trying to minimize the number of crosses.

If we assume straight links, it would be fairly easy to implement. The only tricky part is taking into account world boundaries.

Research direction

The issue names no files or tests; start by locating the Scala implementation of existing link primitives and the code that handles world boundaries. Establish how straight links and boundary cases should determine whether two links cross, then verify the behavior for crossing and non-crossing link pairs.
