Description
Would it be possible for the nw-extension to either layout a network in a nice way, or to somehow calculate a set of parameters that you can feed straight into the layout-spring command? With the nw-extension coming out, it feels like the only place where NetLogo is truly lagging behind in networks-related stuff is in visualization. Users are often just left to guess and experiment with which of the three or four parameters to change, and by how much.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the nw-extension's existing layout functionality and the layout-spring command. The issue proposes either automatic network layout or reporting reasonable parameters; completion would require an agreed approach and a way for users to obtain or apply improved visualization settings.
