Description

Description

I use neogit for kernel dev, however, rebase take too long to load the comments, there is not parameter to control how many comment to load. Can we have some thing like "-n 100" to load only the latest 100 comments and go from there.

Neovim version

NVIM v0.10.4
Build type: Release
LuaJIT 2.1.1737090214
Run "nvim -V1 -v" for more info

Operating system and version

debian 11

Steps to reproduce
  1. Open neovim in kernel source code directory
  2. try neogit rebase with iteractive mode.
Expected behavior

There is an option to limit the comments to show

Actual behavior

Take forever to load the comments as there are a lot.

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by tracing Neogit's interactive rebase flow and how it loads comments, then identify the Git invocation or entry point that could accept a comment limit; done means an option limits the comments loaded and rebase startup no longer waits on the full history.
