Description

Currently FASTSim can achieve unrealistically fast braking - a commanded speed of zero can be immediately achieved. This is not physical and could be fixed by some sort of momentum based limitation maybe?

  • Forward capability is limited by powertrain max power and traction speed ceiling
  • Regen braking is limited by powertrain/ESS/EM constraints
  • If requested negative tractive power exceeds regen capability, the excess is assigned to mechanical dynamic braking
